The company launched a pair of new wireless earphones called FreeLace as well as added two variants Watch GT Active and Watch GT Elegant to its smartwatch lineup.First the new smartwatches. According to Huawei, Watch GT, of which over 1 million units have been sold so far, has proved popular with consumers and now it is introducing two new variants aimed at those who want a smartwatch for fitness, or those who want a timeless, classic piece.The Watch GT Active, in terms of design, is similar to the existing GT watches. It has a 46mm watch face, with a 1.39-inch AMOLED screen that has a resolution of 454 x 454 pixels. It also comes with features like real-time activity and heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking as well as a host of other smart features common to smartwatches. The reason why it carries Active tag is that it comes with a new feature called Triathlon mode. Triathlon, including open water swimming, outdoor cycling, and outdoor running (can be tracked). The smartwatch can record the entire triathlon, including the transition time. Triathlon mode will be available on the Watch GT Classic and Sport Edition via an update, said a Huawei spokesperson.The Watch GT Active will be available in orange and dark green colour.The Watch GT Elegant, meanwhile, focuses on the design. It comes with a smaller and hence more elegant 42mm watch face. Elegant Edition features a smaller 42mm ceramic bezel option Elegant Edition with a 1.2-inch AMOLED HD colour touchscreen with a resolution of 390 x 390 pixels, said a Huawei spokesperson.advertisementThe GT Elegant will be available in Magic Pearl White and Tahitian Magic Black Pearl. The colours for Watch GT Elegant Edition (42mm series) are achieved through the unique ceramic colouring process. The Magic Pearl White watch face is achieved through a diamond-level cutting process that creates 48 small triangular cuts and then precisely polished. When reflecting light at different angles, the face portrays an array of different colours, said a Huawei spokesperson.The FreeLace is another new product from Huawei launched on Tuesday. The new wireless earphones have large 9.2mm driver unit, and they come with what Huawei calls dual-cavity design that according to the company will help users reduce the effect of wind on voice pick up. In other words, apart from better sound quality during music playback, Huawei is also promising better call quality in case you make a call using FreeLace during your jogging sessions. FreeLace was tested in Huawei’s lab to reduce over 10dB of noise from wind when worn by a cyclist biking at 30km/h, said the company spokesperson.Huawei says that the FreeLace can be paired with and fast charged by Huawei smartphones once it’s plugged into the phone. The earbuds are made of metal, but wrapped in liquid silicon that is soft and skin-friendly. AmCham Guyana announces its inaugural Board of Directors

One week after US Ambassador, Perry Holloway’s announcement of it becoming operational, the American Chamber of Commerce in Guyana (AmCham Guyana Inc.) has installed an interim sixteen-member board to help guide the Chamber through its first year of establishment.Chairman of AmCham Zulfikar AllyAmCham Guyana is a private sector association of US enterprises and individuals doing business in Guyana as well as firms and business executives in Guyana who operate in the United States.According to AmCham its purpose is to “promote America –Guyana bilateral trade opportunities and activities; to improve market access for America-Guyana goods and services; to provide a economic, social and policy platform for its members, to encourage networking and build valuable business connections; and to help promote corporate social responsibility and sustainable development in Guyana.
